Street Fairs in NYC
Do you like to go to street fairs during the spring and summer time? Every year I search online for street fairs in NYC. I enjoy walking to each vendor to see what products they are selling and taste the variety of food they offer.
I went to one near my neighborhood a couple of weeks ago. I always made sure to visit vendors that sell plants. I like to see what type they were selling each year. There was one that caught my eyes. The plant is a Coral Cactus. It is something new and I never saw it in previous years. It was tempting to buy it but unfortunately, I’m not very good with plants — EVEN WITH CACTUS! They never last long in my apartment.
It is Fun, Entertaining and for Everyone
Street Fairs in NYC is great for everyone, whether you are single, dating or a parent. I love to walk and enjoy the sun and fresh air. It is always entertaining for me to be out walking around, especially when the weather is nice, and view all the vendors and taste all the food. I would watch live performances, enjoy the activities and taste the delicious food they offer.
I admit most of these activities they have are for kids. But, I wouldn’t mind having a balloon maker make something for me. I would enjoy watching them make an animal, flower or a hat for me. It would be fun playing on the balloon slides or jump inside a balloon jumper. And maybe having my face painted. Of course, I don’t partake in these kids activities but it is nice to think that I can be a kid again. Well…maybe I might one day try face painting or have a balloon maker make me something.
Great Place to Get a Quick Bite to Eat
It is a great place to go if you want to get a quick bite to eat or try out a variety of foods you normally don’t eat. The lines are usually short and you don’t need to wait too long for your food. It is convenient if you are on the run because most vendors sell appetizer size foods. You can quickly satisfy your hunger and eat while on the move. It is a great way to eat, walk and wonder without being noticed. If you are like me who hates sitting at a table by yourself while having lunch and trying not to imagine everyone staring at you because you are all alone.
Some of the food vendors travel from different parts of the NYC area to showcase their specialties. Which is a big plus for me because I love to eat and I love to taste the variety of foods that I normally wouldn’t get to eat. I like to sample food from places that I’ve never been to before but will venture into because I tried out it out at the fair. And I also like to try out foods from vendors that are new to the restaurant business and are promoting their food at the fair or festival.
Who doesn’t love shopping?
Street fairs in NYC are a great excuse to spend, spend and spend some more. There are plenty of vendors that sell a variety of products to the shopaholics in all of us. There are many booths that sell t-shirts, infant clothes, toys, trinkets, jewelry, watches, sunglasses and many other products. Though I am frugal by nature, I admit I sometimes go overboard and shop, but who doesn’t. I always have to make sure that I pace myself and ask myself “Do I really need it?” Most of the time it is a big YES! But lately, I’ve talked myself out of most of the things I want to buy — though I don’t know how long that will last.
